5 reasons to use Maps in managing documents, processes and data.

BPM: When we talk about flows and processes, the possibilities are much greater as the identification and processing of processes separated by regional units is frequent in large organizations and the inclusion of customer city information in process forms allows cross data the indicators of service, claims, sales, repairs, response time forming perfect set to arrange on a quantitative map.

In the scope of analysis of data in BI and Big Data, we have location information on applications of products in stock, sales projection or even tanned in the site, incidence of viruses.

Given this, how can a map tool be used for all of the above cases? By displaying on a map, numeric information will be grouped by locale in the form of circles of different sizes or in a color scale, making it visually easier to identify a trend.
Unlike some maps that show only where an event occurs by drawing a "pin" or "drop" on the location of incidence of the event, a map tool in the context of ECM, BPM and BI shows where and how much graphically!

This will certainly be an aid to decision making in companies and Lab245 already offers a map tool within its suite of products, take a test

Now that we know how, let's see why:

1. Facilitate the visualization of the geographic distribution of data and zoom in the different regions of interest.

2. Evaluate a trend in micro-regions. When evaluating a map with quantitative information, we can visually observe where the numbers are larger or smaller by grouping micro regions. A traditional data report does not display this information.

3. Identify the influence of roads, ports and other logistic elements on certain indicators. Thus, as in the previous item, it would not be possible to visualize the line of a highway through a data report without maps.

4. Viewing varied documents and reports from a click on the map is an alternative tool for those who need to analyze content deeply. It's a new way to browse document content search.

5. A map is the best way to manage teams, business representatives, and service centers that are geographically distributed.
